Oregon was the first stop on our Portland 2 Portland trip. We were able to ride in many places but sadly we saw a few NO ebiking signs on popular trails. Education is still a very big effort to be able to teach people about class 1 emtb, and we did our share of it. In Oregon, we found that riders were indifferent about riding an ebike on regular mtb trails, which means that the issue lays on the law makers. It would be important to connect with more decision makers and have them try emtb. Once they try one, they will understand that they are not any different than any mountain bike. We are advocates for ebike riding and we feel that Oregon is on the verge of understanding.
